2011 and Out of Mexico for Now

After my last post, three years ago, my life in Mexico became a whirlwind of travel, love, strife and a surgery. Since I can't encapsulate 2008 - 2011, I won't try. Let's suffice it to say that I miss Mexico like hell, I miss Baja CA and the colors, the people, the whirling of life, the bad music and playing with the kids. I miss my dear sister friend Martha and her family. I miss my horses. They are still there. But a failing hip, a major (wrong) move to the city of Monterrey in mainland Mexico and the economic crisis among other things catapulted me back to the U.S. where I got my hip fixed; I am dying to go to Ensenada to see my horses and my friends and soak up my favorite town where I lived for 5 years. I will do this trip soon. And I will write from there.

For now, I am remembering, going back through my blogs and reading about myself in my first days in Mexico...such high hopes, such determination I had. Wow. I learned so much there and continue to learn through remembering. I will go back and learn more. Mexico, I miss you.
